Employees from the Cost Estimate Department receive from the client a list of items needed to implement a given project. They price them according to what offers they have from individual supply companies.

Our client needed a tool that would improve the process of creating cost estimates, which was very difficult in the case of previously used spreadsheets. Additionally, he wanted employees to be able to work on one application, which would help maintain data transparency.

Objective

Our goal was to create an application in line with the client’s expectations, which would make it easier for his employees to create cost estimates according to a specific standard and help maintain order in their work.

Implementation

Our team has created a friendly tool that allows you to create cost estimates for specific projects. It has, among other things, a global configuration and a price multiplier that allows you to edit them depending on your requirements. Employees see the number of hours they plan to spend. Additionally, the application offers, among others:

  • Quickly add additional items thanks to the ability to use previously created information.
  • Possibility to edit each entry.
  • Highlight entries that have information that is different from the global data.
  • Data export to Excel.
  • Creating a suggested project plan or work schedule thanks to data from the application.
